- Help!
- My home machine is Micron P133 with W'95. Modem (initially) was USR
- 28.8 External, (now) is Cardinal MXP288XV.
-
- Problem is that when I send fax to my home PC from my laptop (with
- Megahertz 14.4 PMCIA modem) it connects OK, but then craps out with
- just the top quarter- to-half inch of the page received by home
- machine. I'm using fax module in Microsoft Exchange, but I also
- experienced similar problem with new ProComm for Windows ver. 3.0.
- Problem seems to be modem-idependent, but I'm not sure. USR modem
- didn't work right so I returned it. Cardinal works fine with my ISP,
- but exhibits same fax problem.
-
- I don't think laptop modem is a problem, because it works fine when
- I'm on the road in all sorts of weird situations including faxing to
- Europe. Besides, fax receiving problem has also occurred when I tried
- to fax from the office using normal office-type fax machine.
-
- Anybody have any ideas?? Is Exchange the culprit? Are there some
- settings that I need to be be tweaking with?? Thanks-
-
